Tropical Blue Smoothie is a delicious drink made with mango, pineapple, banana, milk and Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Powder.

I tend to drink a lot of smoothies at the the beginning of the year. I’m not sure if it is the New Year health kick or the fact that I am just over winter. Seriously, is it summer time yet? This Tropical Blue Smoothie sure has some summertime vibes going on and may induce some daydreaming of a deep blue ocean you wish you were sitting in front of relaxing while listening to the waves.

Tropical Blue Smoothie

Tropical Blue Smoothie has that tropical flavor from pineapple and mango with a nice balance of sweet and tart. Almond milk adds a creaminess and Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Powder adds not just the wonderful blue color but also an earthy tone.  Easy to make and delicious to drink!

Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Powder

You have probably seen Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Powder across your Instagram or Pinterest. It is the ingredient that changes color from blue to purple to create really fantastic cocktails and mocktails.  Changing the pH level by simply adding something like lemon makes that amazing color change and yes, you better bet I have been experimenting. You can also use it in tea, baking bright concoctions and smoothies.
